“To smell wood, to see its scent from a totally different angle, forget the idea of the forest, leaves, and earth, and picture it on a beach, floating in waves, and washing up on the sand. Driftwood warmed by the sun. I paired it with Ambergris and Labdanum to underscore the solar and sensual dimension of this wood. Iris and Vetiver bring out the texture and elegance of this fragrance.” Emilie Coppermann
The scent was launched in 2009 and was created by Emilie Coppermann.

Iris – a wonderful and elegant note. Nothing compares to it.
In my search for perfumes with iris I found Bois d’Iris. I read a lot about it. So, I blind bought it. No regrets. Although this is my first Van Cleef, it is a very interesting one. It opens with a creamy iris, soft and sweet. Not very sweet, just a little bit. An innocent composition, not very strong but not very soft either. The perfume feels luxurious and full of personality, like an old collection car that you drive when you to feel alive.
The scent is very well blend and it has a classic touch. It tells a story about iris in a special way. I think all the iris lovers should try this one. A nice, creamy iris with a classic touch that gives you energy and good mood. Oh, and the bottle is very nice too.
