Perfumes from 2017

There are so many perfumes launched each year that is very hard to smell everything new. I am not living in a big city, so my resources are limited. I’m always buying samples and decants online, when it is possible to do that.

I managed to smell some perfumes that were launched this year. Let’s see what I have smelled and what were my thoughts about those fragrances.

MON GUERLAIN by Guerlain – LAVENDER DARLING

Created by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk and launched in 2017.

TOP NOTES: Lavender, Bergamot

MIDDLE NOTES: Jasmine Sambac, Iris

BASE NOTES: Vanilla, Sandalwood, Coumarin

 

BLACK PERFECTO by  Guerlain – SWEET AND NUTTY

Black Perfecto was created by Thierry Wasser and was launched in 2017.

TOP NOTES: Sour cherry, Almond, Black tea

MIDDLE NOTES: Rose, Licorice

BASE NOTES: Leather, Black musk, Patchouli, Tonka bean

 

GABRIELLE by Chanel – INTERESTING IN ITS WAY

Gabrielle was created by Olivier Polge and was launched in 2017.

TOP NOTES: Mandarin orange, Grapefruit, Black currant

MIDDLE NOTES: Tuberose, Ylang ylang, Jasmine, Orange blossom

BASE NOTES: Sandalwood, Musk

 

TWILLY by Hermes – NICE AND DIFFERENT

Twilly was created by Christine Nagel and was launched in 2017.

TOP NOTES: Ginger

MIDDLE NOTES: Tuberose

BASE NOTES: Sandalwood

 

SCANDAL by Jean Paul Gaultier – NO SCANDAL AT ALL

Scandal was launched in 2017 and was created by Daphne Bugey.

TOP NOTES: Blood orange, Gardenia

MIDDLE NOTES: Honey

BASE NOTES: Patchouli

 

GUCCI BLOOM by Gucci – A GOOD FLORAL

Gucci Bloom was created by Alberto Morillas and was launched in 2017.

NOTES: Jasmine Sambac, Tuberose, Orris root, Honeysuckle

 

 

GIRL OF NOW by Elie Saab – ALMOND-MINTY

 

The perfume was created by Sophie Labbe and Dominique Ropion and was launched in 2017.

TOP NOTES: Pear, Mandarin, Roasted pistachio

MIDDLE NOTES: Orange blossom. Magnolia, almond

BASE NOTES: Patchouli, Tonka bean, Cashmeran, Almond milk

 

I am sure each of fragrances released this year will find their place and person willing to make it its own.

So, let’s wait for a new year and for new perfumes launches.
